The children at Woolmore Primary School moved into their new building at the end of February and are enjoying all of the wonderful new facilities at their school
These new facilities include:
- A roof terrace
- A dedicated library
- An area with dedicated rooms for counselling, sensory needs and provision for additional learning experiences including cooking and gardening
- An art room
- A nursery
The new building has allowed the school to dramatically increase its capacity from 240 to an eventual maximum of 700 children. Work to improve the playground with a sports pitch and running track is still on-going.
The work has been funded from the Government’s Basic Need grant and through a contribution from the Section 106 funding arising from the Blackwall Reach redevelopment.
