Swan has partnered with make:good and Bow Arts to work with residents and the local community at Blackwall Reach in east London to create a series of meaningful artworks that will help to give them a special connection and sense of ownership with the redeveloped Millennium Green, a green space that sits at the heart of the Blackwall Reach regeneration.
The Taxonomy of Joy project seeks to engage all the senses through a creative and collaborative process involving the local community and a team of professional designers. The community are key to the success of this project and we plan to collect and catalogue their personal experiences of joy to inspire the design process. The collaborative way of working will ensure the community are connected to design process and have a personal connection to the finished artwork.
The project is being coordinated by make:good and there will be a variety of different ways to get involved. For more information or to sign up to take part in one of the upcoming workshop sessions visit: www.millenniumgreen.blackwallreachcommunity.co.uk
